Health and electromagnetic fields

Report of EU-funded research into the impact of electromagnetic fields and mobile telephones on health. There is much public concern about the issues surrounding the aspects of
electromagnetic fields on health – in particular, the potential health effects of mobile telephones. This brochure describes what electromagnetic fields are, where they are found, and what is being done to investigate their potential for affecting our health. There are maximum exposure limits that are regularly reviewed in the light of new scientific research, much of it funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research.
