The European Commission and Luxembourg's presidency of the Council of the European Union hosted on 19 October 2015 the first high-level conference on the criminal justice response to radicalisation. This challenge was identified as one of the cornerstones of the European Security Agenda. The Commission had been working on issues relating to radicalisation mainly through its Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN), set up in 2011. |
