The 2011 Human Rights and Democracy report incorporates a number of significant changes, as follows:

It includes a section specifically devoted to the Arab Spring. Secondly, it includes a statement of priorities, which explains the significance of human rights in the UK's foreign policy. Finally, it includes a set of case studies to complement the detailed analysis of ‘countries of concern’.
