Measures introduced by Viktor Orbán’s centre-right government since it took power nearly in 2010 have 'substantially weakened' the country’s ability to fight corruption, damaged the economy and opened the doors for the state to be 'captured by private interest groups', Transparency International Hungary warned on the 8 March 2012.
