Report of comments by Sir David Tweedie, chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board, and others, to the (UK) House of Commons Treasury Select Committee enquiry into the banking crisis, November 2008. Sir David said that he considered resigning over European political interference and warned against further meddling in accounting rules as it risked destroying the long-running project towards developing a single global set of accounting rules.
