IASB kicks off search for Tweedie successor

Article reports that political wrangling over the setting of global accounting standards is set to heighten as the International Accounting Standards Board starts December 2009 the search to replace its chairman, Sir David Tweedie.

The start of the search comes at a sensitive time for the IASB with the push for a global set of high quality accounting standards an increasingly political issue in Europe and the US.
