Article reports that investigators in London and Reykjavik have deepened co-operation on their overlapping criminal probes into the collapse of the Icelandic banking system and the British companies and business people involved.

Richard Alderman, SFO director, met Olafur Hauksson, the Icelandic special prosecutor appointed to probe the bank collapse, and Eva Joly, the French anti-corruption expert and MEP recruited by Iceland to assist the investigation in September 2009.
