IMF calls on Spain to raise VAT and lower corporate taxes

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) issued an evaluation on the state of the Spanish economy on the 27 May 2014 as part of one of its annual missions to IMF member countries.

Spain's Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy announced that his government would unveil a new stimulus package worth €6.3bn on the 6 June 2014. The measures would be designed to boost the economy's competitiveness and to create jobs.
