Industry threatens effort to cut steel subsidies

The head of the steel unit at the Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD) said on 4 March 2004 that wavering support from steel producers has cast doubt on a landmark agreement to restrict government subsidies to the worldwide industry being achieved in 2004.
