Inflation rise hits prospect of ECB rate cut

In November 2000, annual inflation in the euro-zone rose to its highest level since February 1994, giving the European Central Bank extra reasons to delay cutting interest rates in spite of Europe's economic slowdown. The ECB is due to publish its internal econmic projections for the euro-zone on 21.12.00.
