Informal Ecofin Council, Versailles, 9 September 2000. The EU Member states call on the OPEC to take measures

On the occasion of the Informal Council Ecofin , on 9 September in Versailles under the Presidency of Laurent Fabius, the ministers of Economy and Finances of the European Union consider that “Oil prices need to return to a level taht preserves worlwide growth”. They “call on OPEC to implement meaures that market supplies are better adapated to the global economic situation”
