Informal meeting of EU Defence Ministers, 26-27 April 2017

An informal meeting of the European Union's Ministers of Defence was held on 26-27 April 2017.

The background to the meeting were the decisions adopted at the December 2016 European Council in particular on strengthening defence capabilities as well as how the member states as a whole can contribute to the enhancement of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), a critical component of the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP).
