Integrated Product Policy – between conceptual and instrumental approaches in Europe

Abstract:

This contribution examines the state of Integrated Product Policy (IPP) in some European Member States and the European Union itself. It considers its formulation, implementation and reformulation and distinguishes conceptual and instrumental approaches coexisting on the landscape. It refers to some challenges in future implementation - especially the link between IPP and sustainable production and consumption (SCP).
