Ireland’s business-friendly tax regime is again under threat from the Commission

Competition Commissioner Karel van Miert will urge his colleagues at a meeting next Wednesday (20 January) to abolish special rent allowances and rates exemptions for business tenants. Van Miert is concerned that the tax breaks constitute an illegal state aid.
