Italy adds ‘fairy tale’ Alpine tunnel to list of EU priorities

Italy's Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, has been successful in including a rail tunnel through the Alps, linking Lyons and Turin, as part of a list of 56 projects, collectively known as the European Growth Initiative.
