On the 29 June 2016, the Court of Justice stated that fresh proceedings may be brought against a suspect in a Schengen State where previous criminal proceedings in another Schengen State were terminated without a detailed investigation. Moreover, the fact that neither the victim nor a potential witness was interviewed is an indication that no such investigation was carried out. |
