Juncker warms to the idea of an EU intelligence agency

In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks hitting Brussels on 22 March 2016, European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker revived the idea of an EU-wide intelligence agency as a way of stepping up the fight against terrorism.

Following previous attacks on European soil, other stakeholders had proposed a similar project to be implemented by the European Union.
