Leaning In? Opportunities for Ireland in the New Pact on Migration and Asylum Policy

Profound divisions within the European Union (EU) on migration management and asylum policy have strained relations between countries and raised questions about solidarity and responsibility. The EU’s New Pact on Migration and Asylum seeks to ameliorate these tensions and improve the intra-EU coordination and cooperation by forging common EU migration and asylum policies.
