The relatively new notion of ‘Maritime Spatial Planning’ (MSP) has emerged as a means of resolving inter-sectoral and cross-border conflicts over maritime space. This Study examines a number of specific legal aspects of MSP. The aim of the Study is to contribute towards the development of the road map. While there have been a number of surveys of MSP practices in Member States, there has not yet been a comprehensive legal study on the constraints imposed by existing law. |
