Results of a EurActiv survey 'Who are the 40 most influential Britons on EU policy?'. Part of EurActiv's ‘UK in Europe: 40 years, 40 top influencers' projects which includes a website 'The UK in Europe'. The UK40 ranking was topped by Sharon Bowles MEP. Bowles chairs the European Parliament's economic and monetary affairs committee and is a member of the liberal (ALDE) Group. Coincidentally, the FT reported on the 14 November 2012 that Sharon Bowles was the outsider in the contest to be Bank of England governor. |
