Liechtenstein takes down its borders

On 19 December 2011, Liechtenstein became the 26th member of the Schengen area, following approval by the EU in March 2011.

Presseurop is an EU-funded initiative which brings a selection of the European press translated into 10 languages to enable a wider readership.
