Socialist MEP and Group leader Pauline Green hosted a press lunch to explain her stand on the Commission censure motion just as the British Conservative MEP and leader Edward McMillan-Scott was parading whistle-blower Paul van Buitenen at a rival event next door. Which to attend? Dutiful reporters danced between the two to ensure fair play. Not so much a case of mismanagement and fraud as farce and mis-timing. |
