Mapping Europe’s energy research challenges and technology potential

In support of the upcoming European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan), the JRC has released major new studies mapping the potential of energy technologies and the energy research capacity in Europe. Including the latest data from stakeholders Europe-wide, this mapping exercise highlights that a broad portfolio of technologies needs to be developed strategically and inclusively to meet stated policy goals.
