This report reaffirms the UK Government's strong commitment to the agenda of the Lisbon European Council of March 2000. It accompanies and updates the Government's White Paper of 2002, 'Realising Europe's Potential: Economic Reform in Europe'. It evaluates progress on economic reform in Europe, taking into account changes in policy and circumstances over the intervening year, and identifies priorities for action in the near and medium term.
