On 13 December 2013, the European Commission published the Product Market Review 2013: Financing the real economy.

The Product Market Review (PMR) is published every two years and focuses on the impact of product market reforms on economic performance.

The 2013 edition's focus is on the interaction between the real economy and the financial sector. It explores the extent to which the crisis in the financial sector casts a shadow on economic activity.
