On 11 September 2007 the European Commission approved an Operational Programme for the Campania region in Italy for 2007-2013. This Operational Programme comes under the Convergence objective and has a total budget of 6.9 billion euros. The financing provided by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) amounts to some 3.4 billion euros, representing about 11.8% of Community aid to Italy as part of the cohesion policy for 2007-2013. The national contribution amounts to 3.4 billion euros and may partly consist of Community loans granted by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and other loan instruments. |
