On 7 December 2007, the European Commission approved the Multi-regional Operational Programme 'Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) for and by Enterprises – Technology Fund'. The Programme engages Community support in all Spanish regions within the framework of the Convergence and Regional Competitiveness and Employment Objectives. The Programme’s total budget is approximately €3.3 billion and includes Community investment through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of some €2.2 billion, which represents approximately 6.2% of the total EU investment earmarked for Spain under the Cohesion Policy for 2007-13. |
