On 7 December 2007, the European Commission approved a Community Operational Programme for the Autonomous Community of Catalonia in Spain covering the period 2007-2013. This Operational Programme comes under the Regional Competitiveness and Employment Objective and has a total budget of around €1.4 billion. The funding provided by the Community through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) amounts to some €679 million, which represents around 1.9% of total EU investment in Spain in the context of cohesion policy for the period 2007-2013. |
