MEPs reject partnership option for Turkey

MEPs in the powerful Foreign Affairs Committee in the European Parliament have rejected, 30 November 2004, the 'partnership' option for Turkey as an alternative to full membership, although recognising that any negotiations would be long and not automatically leading to membership.
