MEPs roast Katainen over support for austerity

Jyrki Katainen, the Finnish politicians who was chosen to become the European Commission's Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness, had his confirmation hearing in the European Parliament on 7 October 2014.

Mr Katainen spoke about a €300 billion investment package to boost growth in the EU and tried to tackle some criticism on Finland’s tough stance on austerity and eurozone bailouts during the financial crisis.
