Social Affairs Commissioner Pádraig Flynn told Parliament on Tuesday (14 November). In its second reading of a draft directive to harmonise workplace safety requirements, MEPs condemned the Council of Ministers' rejection of their amendments for stricter safety controls. Flynn warned that he would not accept proposals he knew would be rejected by ministers.
