Mercator Media Forum, Volume 3:
The Mercator Media Forum is an annual journal which promotes discussion and the flow of information between those who work in the non-state languages of the European Union in the field of media. Media is broadly defined to include book publishing, radio and television, news-papers and magazines, archives and libraries, electronic networks and databases.

Volume 3 deals with the theme of 'open skies' or cross-border television broadcasting, with contributions looking at Northern Ireland, South Tyrol and the Kurdish satellite channel Med-TV. Other articles give attention to the history of the Sorbian media; the use of minority languages on the Internet; the potential market for CD-ROMs in minority languages, taking Welsh as a case study; the economic importance of the Basque language media and the development of television in Brittany.

The text of articles are either in French or English, with a summary in the other language
