Ministers delay decision on creating job of ‘Mr Euro’

European Union Finance Ministers have delayed until September 2004 a decision on the creation of a semi-permanent President of the Eurogroup. Such a post is proposed in the new EU Constitutional Treaty and the postholder would become the political face of the single currency.
