European Union's Competition Commissioner, Mario Monti, calls for greater transatlantic co-operation between regulators and said the decision to block the world's biggest industrial takeover was 'a rare case' of 'well-meaning competition authorities' coming to different opinions about the impact of a deal on the global market.
