James Morris, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme, warned on 9 May 2005 that World Trade Organisation moves to put an end to dumping agricultural surpluses under the guise of food aid could put genuine assistance at risk. Mr Morris went on to say that the WFP was 'absolutely opposed' to any new rules stipulating food aid must be exclusively in cash. |
