Date: 04/09/1997 Less than three years into her five-year term, Research Commissioner Edith Cresson has appointed her third chef de cabinet. Jean-François Marchipont, who took over from Cresson's first chef François Lamoureux, has left to become a special adviser in DGXII (research). He is being replaced by a senior official from Paris, Dov Zerah, previously chef de cabinet to Corinne Lepage, former environment minister in the centre-right government of Alain Juppé. Marchipont is not the only departure from Cresson's team. Her spokesman for the past two and a half years, former Brussels-based journalist Jean-Christophe Filori, is off to work on transport matters in DGVII. His place is being taken by François Brousse, who has been working as Cresson's speechwriter. |
