The 59th Munich Security Conference (MSC) took place in February 2023 at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich.

The event focused on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, one year on since it was first launched. For the first time in 20 years, Russian officials were not invited to the gathering. Dozens of senior figures attended the conference, including the leaders of Germany and France, the Vice-President and the Secretary of State of the United States, the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Council, as well as China's top diplomat.
