EurActiv reported in October 2015 on a draft proposal put forward by France's Front National at the European Parliament to ban a bee-killing pesticide, which was rejected by the other political groups.

This was seen as an example of the efforts by the other groups to exclude FN's group ENF from the legislative process. The pesticide called sulfoxaflor was banned in the United States because of its harmful effects for bees, but licenced in the European Union in July 2015.
