Nato report on Afghan strike boosts Germany

A senior German soldier, General Wolfgang Schneiderhan, general inspector of the Bundeswehr is reported as saying on the 29 October 2009 that he believed a Nato report into the bombing of two hijacked fuel tankers in northern Afghanistan on the 4 September 2009 by German planes showed that his soldiers had acted appropriately in ordering the strike.
