New energy efficiency rules for public buildings risk being ignored

EurActiv published in July 2015 a feature on the effectivity of the European Union's rules on energy efficiency.

The article was released soon after plans for future energy governance were leaked to the media, showing a soft touch strategy for those who do not comply with the legislation.

However, in March 2015, most EU member states had been hit by legal action over failures to translate the energy efficiency directive (EDD) into national law.
