New powers to combat discrimination

Summary:

This small brochure sets out the new European legislation adopted in 2000 prohibiting all discrimination in employment and training on grounds of religion and belief, disability, age and sexual orientation. These provisions also prohibit discrimination on the basis of racial or ethnic origin in employment, education, social security, health care and access to care and services, including housing.
