Word has reached Entre Nous that the European Commission press spokesmen and women recently held a brainstorming session to try to find ways of improving the service they provide to Brussels journalists.

However, although their discussions were later described as wide-ranging and thought-provoking, the 20 Commissioners' representatives came to the conclusion that things were running so smoothly that there was no need to change anything. “If it ain't broke, don't fix it,” quipped one.
