The key decisions taken by the European Commission cover various sectors and include 3 letters of formal notice, 32 reasoned opinions, 8 referrals to the Court of Justice of the European Union, and a closure. The Commission also closed 78 cases in which the issues with the Member States concerned have been solved without the Commission needing to pursue the procedure further.
