NYSE and Börse hope to soothe EU qualms

The NYSE Euronext and Deutsche Börse submitted 'remedies' to the competition authorities of the European Commission in November 2011 designed to assuage concerns that their proposed merger would snuff out the ability of rivals to compete in European derivatives trading – a key worry of the European Commission.
