OFT keeps Europe out of the LSE bid battle

The (UK) Office of Fair Trading (OFT) announced on 16 February 2005 that competition issues raised by two prospective bids for the London Stock Exchange from Deutsche Börse and Euronext will not be referred to the European Commission and that the UK was the appropriate forum for dealing with the case.
