Marketaccess. The Council has recently endorsed the progress made by the Commission's Marketaccess strategy which aims to open world markets to EU exporters, and have agreed further measures to eliminate trade barriers. The new measures strengthen and streamline the process for reviewing, analysing and taking action on barriers to trade. The Commission will draw up a series of new reports on specific types of barrier including intellectual property rights, standards and certification, and trade related investment measures.
