Overseas forays boost Spanish companies

Spain’s biggest companies have survived and even thrived during the economic downturn as a result of hundreds of billions of dollars invested abroad over the past two decades, according to a report 'Spain’s Main Multinationals: Building on their Success' published by the Elcano Royal Institute, a Madrid-based think-tank in August 2010.
