Greek police destroyed a parcel bomb addressed to the justice minister on the 2 February 2011 that resembled a booby-trapped package sent to the office of Angela Merkel, German chancellor, from Athens in 2010. Nine suspected members of Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire, a Greek anarchist group, went on trial in January 2011 accused – among other attacks - of sending 14 parcel bombs in November 2010, mostly to foreign embassies in Athens. |
