This report was prepared by Stephen Boyd, a secondee from the Scottish Executive to the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) and was completed in August 2002. It comprises an analysis of social partnership models in other European countries intended to identify pertinent examples of good practice, key principles, issues to be addressed and options for consideration in the Scottish context. Annexes are attached, containing more detailed overviews of what constitutes the social partnership in nine EU countries - Ireland, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Wales, Belgium and Italy. |
