Date: 14/09/00 Members of the European Parliament's legal affairs committee met last week to debate whether they should take governments to court for banning all military documents from the prying eyes of the public without consulting MEPs first. Entre Nous had hoped to bring you first-hand account of the indignation felt by deputies at this slap in the face for freedom of information. Unfortunately, the meeting was held in private - presumably to avoid the prying eyes of the press and public. |
